1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured After CT Apartment Fire Breaks Out One person was killed and another is in critical condition following a fire at a Fairfield County apartment. The fire took place in Bridgeport around 4:20 a.m., Friday, July 14 in the 400 block of Success Ave., Building 43. When Bridgeport firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy smoke and fire on the first and second floors of the apartment, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management for Bridgeport. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 1:40 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 27 outside Club Azul located on Federal Street. According to Capt. CT Man Shot, Girlfriend Charged With Having A Gun In Vehicle, Police Say A 24-year-old Fairfield County man was shot and his girlfriend who accompanied him to the hospital was charged with having a gun in a vehicle. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police, Bridgeport Hospital contacted the department to report a party with a gunshot wound was dropped off via private vehicle at their emergency room.
