Large crowds of fighting teens at the Westfield Trumbull Mall caused police to call in reinforcements after the juveniles kept coming back inside after being expelled.
The incident began around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, when police responded to the mall for reports of several large fights involving knives, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.

Man Nabbed At CT Mall In Stolen Car With 13-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly being caught in a stolen vehicle at a Fairfield County mall with a 13-year-old girl he just met.
The incident took place in Trumbull around 5:30 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Westfield Trumbull Mall.
Trumbull Police located the vehicle, which was reported stolen to the New Haven Police Department on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the mall parking lot where the vehicle was recovered and the occupants apprehended, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.

Missing 10-Year-Old CT Boy Found Safe, Police Say

Police in Fairfield County have located a 10-year-old boy who had not been seen in more than a day.
The boy went missing from Trumbull around noon on Monday, June 6, he was found safe on Tuesday, June 7, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.
"We thank everyone for their assistance in his safe return," Weir said.
On Tuesday around noon, the missing 10-year-old boy, Jeffrey Hachey Jr., had been safely located at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, Weir said.

Man, Woman Accused Of Stealing $2K In Items From CT Macy's
Man and woman from Fairfield County have been accused of allegedly stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from an area Macy's.
The Bridgeport residents, Janet Gonzalez, age 42, and Carlos Hernandez, age 32, were arrested on Tuesday, July 27, after shoplifting from the Westfield Trumbull Mall, then attempted to enter a stolen vehicle before running from police.
According to Lt. Brian Weir, the two left Macy’s with almost $2000 worth of unpaid-for clothing. Macy’s security initially attempted to stop them, but they left the store.

CT Trio In Stolen Vehicle Nabbed After Chase, Police Say
Three Fairfield County men have been arrested after allegedly crashing into several police vehicles at the Westfield Trumbull Mall as they attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle.
During the incident, which took place on Monday, July 26, Dominique Reid, age 23, of Bridgeport, fled in the stolen Audi to avoid immediate capture, however, Hector Delgado, age 24, and Xavier Rondon, age 29, also of Bridgeport were immediately taken into police custody in the Westfield Mall parking lot, said Lieutenant Brian D.
