Person Approached By Man, Woman Shot, Killed Near CT Intersection, Police Say
A Connecticut man was shot and killed after being confronted by a man and woman while walking on a city street.
The incident took place in Hartford around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the area of 2194 Main St.
Hartford Police officers responded to the area on a report of an unconscious male. Upon arrival, officers found 46-year-old Lamonte Brown, of Hartford lying on a sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.

CT Man Sentenced For Dealing Fentanyl, Heroin
A Fairfield County man has been sentenced for possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl.
Anthony Gilchrist, age 32, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 26, to 37 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
He pleaded guilty to the charge on Saturday, Nov. 20, the US Attorney's Office reported.

Man From Region Sentenced For Extortion
A Western Massachusetts man was sentenced in federal court for collecting on an extension of credit by threatening and beating the victim.
Hampden County resident Anthony J. Scibelli, age 52, of Springfield, was sentenced on Friday, Sept. 3, to six months in prison and two years of supervised release, said the US Attorney's Office.
Scibelli was also ordered to pay restitution of $200 and forfeiture of $1,300.
In April, Scibelli pleaded guilty to one count of collecting on an extension of credit by extortionate means.

Three people have been shot and killed, and numerous others wounded in Bridgeport in less than a week as rival "groups" target each other, according to authorities.
The latest homicide took place around 7:55 p.m., Thursday, June 25, in front of 527 Huntington Road, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency communications and emergency management.
