These CT Hospitals Got 'A' Rating For Patient Safety, Report Says Several hospitals in Connecticut earned the top grade for keeping patients safe, according to a new report.  More than 10 hospitals in the state were awarded an "A" grade for patient safety in a new Spring 2023 report by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog organization that advocates for safety in hospitals. Wrong-Way Crash: Drivers Of Car, SUV Seriously Injured On I-84, CT State Police Say Connecticut State Police are asking for the public's help after two people were seriously injured in a wrong-way crash. It happened around 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 in Hartford County on westbound I-84 in Southington. A 2004 BMW X3 SUV was traveling in the center lane on the westbound side, near the Exit 30 off-ramp, and a 2012 Hyundai was traveling eastbound in the westbound center lane, the wrong way, according to state police.  The Hyundai then collided head-on with the SUV, which came to an uncontrolled final rest on the right shoulder while the Hyundai came …

The crash took place in Hartford County around 6:45 a.m. in Southington near Exit 4. According to state police, a 42-year-old Meriden man driving a 2008 Kia Rio was stopped or traveling slowly due to tire damage from a previous collision when the car was hit from behind by a 49-year-old Meriden man driving a Nissan Pathfinder.
