Fatal Crash: Police Cruiser Hits Person In CT A person was struck and killed by a Stamford Police Department marked patrol vehicle that was responding to a call for service.  The crash took place in Stamford on Wire Mill Road during the afternoon on Wednesday, July 26. The pedestrian, a Stamford resident, was rushed to the hospital where life-saving measures were unsuccessful, said Stamford Chief of Police Timothy Shaw. No further details were made available. Christmas Crash Kills 3 In West Hartford Three people died in an early-morning crash on Christmas morning in West Hartford, police said. Police and fire departments rushed to Simsbury Road near Timberwood Road, where they found two vehicles had collided around 6:50 a.m., township police said. Despite life-saving efforts, two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene while the third was rushed to an area hospital, where they, too, died, authorities said. The identities of the victims had not been released as of 1:20 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.

Hit-Run Crash Under Investigation In Region One person was injured during a hit-and-run crash in Western Massachusetts. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday,  Feb. 1, on Exchange Street in Chicopee, according to 22 News. The news channel reported a vehicle hit a parked car and then left the area. Police told the news channel the vehicle, with the driver and passenger inside, were caught a short distance away. One of the suspects was taken to the hospital with injuries but the injuries are said to be minor. The crash is under investigation. Police said that at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, the man was struck in a crosswalk on Strawberry Hill Avenue near Stamford High School. Lithia Springs, Georgia resident Adekunle Adeniyi Abdulkabir, 29, turned himself in at New Canaan Police Headquarters at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, where there is a warrant out for his arrest for a scam incident last year.
