Massive CT Fire Destroys Home, Cars, Kills Cat
Firefighters battled a huge blaze overnight that included a two-story home with hoarding conditions, three cars, several motorcycles, and many car parts in the garage in Fairfield County.
The incident took place in Norwalk around 10:15 p.m., Monday, May 8 at 2 Cossett Road, said Deputy Chief of the Norwalk Fire Department Steve Shay.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found the house fully involved with fire showing all floors, Shay said.
In addition, there were three cars on fire in the driveway, and motorcycles and car parts on fire in the garage, he added.

Officials ID 7-Year-Old Girl Killed In Massive CT Fire
A 7-year-old Fairfield County girl who died in a fast-moving house fire has been identified by officials.
Summer Fawcett, of Norwalk, was killed around 5 a.m., Saturday, May 14 at 7 Nelson Ave., said the Norwalk Fire Department.

Woman Extricated From Vehicle Following CT Crash, Officials Say
The driver of a vehicle that crashed on the Merritt Island Parkway in Fairfield County received life-threatening injuries.
The single-vehicle crash took place around 4:19 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, on the parkway in Norwalk, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott.
According to Prescott, a Honda Civic sedan traveling northbound between exits 40 and 41, left the roadway, struck a large rock, rolled, and landed upright in the right travel lane of the parkway.
