A pedestrian on the tracks in Fairfield County at the Greenwich Metro-North station was struck by the westbound train at about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, according to MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North New Haven Line Train A man standing on the train tracks was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in Connecticut. According to Dave Steckel, with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the "unauthorized man" was on the tracks around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, just west of Milford in New Haven County when he was struck and killed by the train. Steckel said the incident was not accidental and no criminality is suspected. 45-Year-Old Dead After Jumping From Train In Connecticut This story has been updated. Train service has resumed after a 45-year-old man jumped from a Metro-North train. The incident took place at approximately 11:27 a.m., Thursday, May 6, as the westbound train was traveling in Fairfield County between Westport and East Norwalk, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.  Metro-North service resumed on the New Haven Line at Green's Farms, Westport, and East Norwalk at 1:18 p.m. with the train departing New Haven and the 1:03 p.m. train departing Grand Central Terminal. Metro-North Service Suspended As Snow Becomes Heavier During Nor'easter Metro-North trains will be temporarily suspending service as the rate of snowfall during the Nor'easter has become heavier, creating potential travel hazards.
