New Haven County's Eli's Orange, located on Boston Post Road, has served American-style pub food and drinks for the past 10 years. The restaurant says it is "sad to announce we will be leaving this wonderful community."

A Connecticut sports bar and its owner have been ordered to pay over $359,000 in back pay and damages to employees after taking retaliatory action against them, federal officials announced.
A New Haven County sports bar formerly located in Milford, Champions Grill and Bar, was ordered to pay employees a total of $359,485 in back pay, emotional distress damages, withheld compensation, and punitive damages for violating provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Occupational Safety and Health Act, the US Department of Labor announced on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

CT Man Charged With DUI For Hitting House, Knocking It Off Foundation
A Connecticut man has been charged with driving under the influence after he allegedly hit a house with his car, knocking it off its foundation last year.
New Haven County resident Michael Murray, age 62, of Milford, turned himself in to police on Saturday, Jan. 20 for the Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 incident.
According to Milford Police, the collision occurred around 11 p.m. when Murray lost control and slammed into a house on Pond Point Avenue.
Murray was taken to the hospital where he received treatment.

Former CT Police Officer Charged With Stealing $184K From PBA, Cops Say
A former Connecticut police sergeant has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $184,000 from a Police Benevolent Association.
New Haven County resident Peter Parks, 42, of Milford was arrested on Monday, Nov. 27 for the theft over a period of several years from the Milford PBA, Milford Police said.
Parks, who served as president of the non-profit organization, resigned from the department when a termination hearing was scheduled after an internal affairs investigation found evidence that he had stolen the money, the department said.

Police have arrested a man after he destroyed thousands of dollars worth of high-end liquor at a Connecticut store.
It happened in New Haven County on Thursday, Oct. 26 just before 11 a.m. in city of Milford.
John Reynolds, age 56, of New Haven, walked into a Milford Total Wine and More, located at 230 Cherry Street, and asked staff about purchasing a large amount of Patrón tequila, which was locked in a case.
