Woman Lights Car On Fire At CT Gas Station, Police Say A Fairfield County woman was charged with arson after allegedly setting gasoline that leaked out of her Nissan Cube on fire at a gas station and then walking away.  Paola Monsalve, age 28, of Norwalk was charged in Stamford on Sunday, Dec. 31 around 8:30 p.m. at the Shell station at the corner of Hope and Church streets. Sgt. Damein Rosa of the Stamford Police said the incident started when she left her car while gas was pumping and going inside the store.  When she back out, gasoline had run over and was puddling under the car and still running out, Rosa said. The operation took place in Stamford on Thursday, Oct. 20. According to Stamford Police Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, the department NARC and Organized Crime Unit teamed up with the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction after receiving numerous complaints from parents and residents of underage sales. The incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 13, when officers responded to a 911 call of someone shot in the rear of commercial property on Hope Street in Stamford. Man Points Gun At Woman During CT Road-Rage Incident, Police Say A man who allegedly threatened a woman stuck in traffic with a pistol during a road-rage incident has been arrested by police in Fairfield County. James Laramee, 27, of Stamford, was arrested following the incident which took place on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in heavy traffic on Hope Street, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. Covid-19: CVS Adds 13 New Drive-Thru Test Sites In CT, Bringing Total To 25 Amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, CVS Health expanded its COVID-19 testing program by announcing 13 additional test sites at select CVS Pharmacy drive-thru locations across Connecticut.  The opening of additional test sites on Friday, May 22 adds to the 12 locations previously opened on Friday, May 15 in Connecticut. These new sites will utilize self-swab tests and mark the next phase of the company’s nationwide COVID-19 testing strategy, announced in late April.
