Troopers arrested Worcester County resident Bryan Walker, age 39, of Fitchburg, on Friday, Feb. 18, for the incident which took place on Wednesday, Feb. 16. According to Dave Procopio, spokesman for the Massachusetts State Police, on Wednesday morning, the state police gang unit attempted to execute a search warrant at 182 Mechanic St. in Fitchburg as part of an ongoing investigation.  Walker was the target of that investigation, he said. …

Police Officer Injured While Trying To Execute Search Warrant In Region A police officer was injured while attempting to execute a search warrant in Massachusetts. The Boylston Police Department reported that the officer, who was assigned to the Worcester County Drug Task Force, was trying to execute the search warrant at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Fitchburg. Police did not share the cause of the officer's injury. The officer was listed in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery, police said. An investigation into the whereabouts of the suspect who police were looking for is ongoing, authorities said.

New Haven Man Known As 'Scoot' Sentenced For Role In Drug Ring, Feds Say A 30-year-old man had been sentenced to 21 months in prison for his role in a Connecticut-based drug trafficking ring. Tyrese Stanley, also known as “Scoot,” of New Haven, was sentenced Tuesday, Jan. 26, to prison time, followed by four years of supervised release, said John Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Stanley was also ordered to serve the first three months of his supervised release in home confinement.
