Man Found Unresponsive In Water At CT State Park Dies A 78-year-old man who was found unresponsive in the water at a Connecticut state park later died. The incident took place in New London County around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6 at Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme. Officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the park of a man found in the water at the park, said Paul Copleman, a spokesman for DEEP. Rocky Neck lifeguards performed CPR on-scene before the man was transported by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, where he was pronounced dead. Police: Pair Of 'Heroes' Save Drowning Man At CT Beach Two men are being called "heroes" after saving a drowning man at a Fairfield County beach. Carlos Manuel Escobar Bonilla and Luis Montano are credited with saving a man’s life at Cummings Beach in Stamford around 11 p.m., Monday, July 3, said the Stamford Police. The incident took place in Berkshire County in Pittsfield around 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Authorities received a report from one of the vehicle's passengers that the driver had experienced a medical event and was unconscious at about 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, State Police said. CT Teen Drowns At State Park A Connecticut teen drowned at a state park over the weekend while swimming with friends. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 in New London County at the Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme, said Will Healey, of the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
