A new study has revealed just how prevalent cases of so-called Long COVID are among Americans. According to the investigation by Dartmouth College and the University College London, one in seven Americans -- about 14 percent -- had Long COVID by the end of 2022. Long COVID occurs when symptoms of the virus persist for more than three months after the initial infections. Brand-New Rankings Reveal Connecticut's Wealthiest Counties
A new ranking shows how Connecticut counties stack up against one another when it comes to financial earnings. Using data from the US Census Bureau, Stacker ranked counties by 2020 5-year estimate median household income. For comparison, the 2020 median household income in the United States was $67,521. In Connecticut, it was $79,043. No. 5 Coming in at No. 5 was Hartford County, with a median household income of $76,259. CT One Of Just Two States Showing Significant Decreases In Homeownership Rate Over Five Years
The average rate of homeownership in Connecticut has dropped significantly over the past five years, according to a new report from the U.S. Census Bureau. Connecticut typically has an above-average rate of homeownership compared to the rest of the country, but the new data found that it is one of two states to show significant declines on that front between 2014 and 2019. During that time span, the ratio of Connecticut owner-occupied households compared to total households in the state dropped 1.4 percent.
