Covid-19 Infection Rates Are Highest In These 14 Communities COVID-19 infections have been shooting up across the Northeast and there are about a dozen Connecticut cities and towns have been hardest hit. As of Monday, Oct. 12, there are 14 Connecticut cities and towns that have the highest infection rates - 221-370 people infected with COVID-19 per 10,000 residents, according to CTDataHaven, which is tracking infections as well as deaths. Covid-19 Forecast: UMass Predicts CT Deaths, Infections Over Next 4 Weeks The number of COVID-19 cases is expected to decrease in Connecticut over the next four weeks, according to the UMass COVID-19 Forecast Hub. INFECTIONS This week, (Wednesday, Oct. 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 13) there have been about 1,740 positive COVID-19 incidents reported in Connecticut. In four weeks, the weekly total should be around 1,450 infections, according to the Hub. Deaths are expected to remain flat.
