Student Brings Suspicious Objected To CT School, Authorities Say A Fairfield County school was asked to shelter-in-place after a student brought a suspicious package to school. The incident took place early Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Rogers International School on Blachley Road in Stamford. According to Sg. William Brevard, of the Stamford Police, a student brought a suspicious package to the school.  Out of an abundance of caution, Stamford Police were notified and students and staff were asked to “shelter-in-place” until SPD declared the school safe.  Police responded to the school with K-9 dogs and searched the package, which was deemed "noth…

Suspicious Package In Hartford Turns Out To Be Medical Kit, Police Say A suspicious package found at a Connecticut adult day treatment center turned out to be a medical kit. The package was found at the Institute of Living at 200 Retreat Ave., in Hartford on Thursday, April 1, said Hartford Police. Police and the bomb squad responded to the scene to investigate the package. Following an investigation, police said the package turned out to be a medical kit left in a bathroom.
