The incident took place in Shelton around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 16 at 30 Oliver Terrace, said the Shelton Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the business on a report of an equipment fire and several reports of a loud explosion in the area, the department said. Single-Vehicle Route 8 Crash Seriously Injures Man In Seymour, Police Say A Fairfield County man was seriously injured after losing control of his vehicle during a single-vehicle crash on Route 8. The crash took place around 3:12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, on southbound Route 8, near Exit 22, in Seymour, when Brian Vincent, age 52, of Shelton, lost control of his vehicle, said the Connecticut State Police.
