2 School Buses Crash In CT
Two people were injured when two school buses with students on board were involved in a crash in Fairfield County. The crash occurred in Newtown around 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 22 in the area of Boggs Hills Road and Sugar Street. According to Lt. Scott Smith of the Newtown Police, the two buses, owned by All-Star Transportation were on their way to Reed Intermediate School and had students on board for morning drop-off. Theft Of Catalytic Converters From Torrington School Buses Delays Start Time By 2 Hours
A Connecticut school district is on a two-hour delay due to the theft of catalytic converters from school buses. The thefts took place in Litchfield County sometime overnight on Monday, Jan. 9, in Torrington. The Torrington School District said on its website that school had to be delayed for up to two hours due to the thefts. The district did not say how many converters were stolen, or how soon the buses would be repaired. An investigation is ongoing by the Torrington Police Department.

Police in Fairfield County are asking for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed an 11-year-old boy who had just stepped off a school bus. The incident occurred in Bridgeport late afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 28 along East Main Street. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran with the Bridgeport Police, the robbery occurred within two minutes of the young victim being dropped off by the school bus. Police Search For SUV Driver Who Passed Stopped School Bus In CT
Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help identifying a red SUV that passed a stopped school bus in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 3:10 p.m., Thursday, June 2 in New Fairfield, said police. The bus, which had its sign out and red lights flashing was stopped on Route 37 southbound at the time the red SUV with New York tags blasted past the bus, said the state police. 18 Catalytic Converters Stolen From Plainville School Buses, Police Report
A Connecticut school district was impacted by student pickup delays after 18 catalytic converters were stolen from school buses used by the district overnight. The catalytic converters were stolen in Hartford County from the Dattco School Bus Property, located at 63 South Canal St. in Plainville, during the overnight hours of Monday, April 18, into Tuesday, April 19, according to the Plainville Police Department.
