Vehicle Hit With Ball Bearing From Slingshot: Enfield Man Charged After South Windsor Incident A Connecticut man has been charged with allegedly shooting a ball bearing from a slingshot at a vehicle. Hartford County resident Matthew West, age 44, of Enfield, was arrested by police around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 after the incident in South Windsor. The victim told police he was traveling on Route 5 near Governor’s Highway when a stopped vehicle, later determined to be driven by West, shot a ball bearing from a slingshot into the victim’s vehicle,  said Sgt. Woman Accused Of Driving Wrong Way While Intoxicated In South Windsor A 54-year-old Connecticut woman was caught driving in the wrong direction while allegedly under the influence. The Hartford County incident occurred on Sunday, Feb. 12 around 12:15 p.m. in South Windsor. According to said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police. Middlesex County resident Annellie M. Two Die In Weekend Crashes In East Hartford, Police Say A 17-year-old on a moped and 51-year-old man died in Connecticut in separate crashes in the same town over the weekend. The first crash took place around 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 in East Hartford when a moped driver was hit by a passenger vehicle on Route 5, said authorities. It happened around 8:20 p.m. Friday, May 21 in Hartford County, on Route 5 (Enfield Street) at the intersection of Bright Meadow Boulevard in Enfield.
