CT Man Nabbed For Leaving Scene Of Darien Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with evading responsibility after he allegedly left the scene of a crash. Richard Bliss, age 46, of Norwalk, was charged on Thursday, Nov. 30 after turning himself in to Darien Police on a warrant, said Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Hours-Long I-95 Delays This story has been updated. There were delays of around two hours on a stretch of I-95 after a tractor-trailer crash in Fairfield County. The crash happened on the northbound side Friday morning, Aug. 21 at around 4 a.m., initially shutting down all lanes in Darien between Noroton Avenue/Exit 10 and Route 1/Exit 11. One lane reopened around daybreak with traffic backed up to Harvard Avenue/West Avenue (Exit 6) in Stamford. The highway did not fully reopen until the end of the morning commute.
