Fire Truck Hit By Speeding Pickup At I-95 Crash Scene A fire truck was damaged when a pickup truck allegedly rammed into it on I-95 in Fairfield County as police and fire were working at an earlier crash on the highway. The incident took place in Fairfield around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 in the southbound lanes of the highway. The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the report of a vehicle crash with injuries at Exit 21 and Mill Plain Road, said Fairfield Fire Department officials. CT State Police Prepares For Thanksgiving Week Enforcement Although many residents are reconsidering typical Thanksgiving gatherings in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, state troopers in Connecticut still plan to heighten patrols over the holiday, targeting aggressive and drunk drivers.  State Police said they arrested 52 drivers for driving while intoxicated over Thanksgiving weekend in 2019 and ticketed 385 drivers for speeding.
