Driver Charged After Glastonbury Crash Killed Woman, Police Say A 63-year-old man is facing charges in a two-vehicle crash on a Connecticut highway that killed a 58-year-old woman.  Mark Herbst, of Hartford, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 8, and charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, according to Connecticut State Police. Police said the crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 4 in Glastonbury.  A 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350, driven by Herbst, struck a 2004 Toyota Camry on Route 2 Westbound near the Exit 9 on-ramp, authorities said.  Investigators found that the Mercedes-Benz traveled from the right lane into the shoulder…

Woman Killed After Being Rear-Ended In Hartford County Crash, Police Say A Connecticut woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash after allegedly being rear-ended by another vehicle. Marie Mathieu, age 58, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, in Hartford County on Route 2 in Glastonbury, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, a Mercedes-Benz, driven by Mark Herbst, of Hartford, was traveling on Route 2 westbound, east of the Exit 9 on-ramp, when he rear-ended Mathieu's vehicle, located on the shoulder of Route 2 westbound, at the top of the Exit 9 on-ramp, state police said.
