ID Released For 20-Year-Old CT Man Killed In Shooting Police have released the identity of a Fairfield County man killed in what police are calling an alleged drug deal gone wrong. Johnny Class, age 20, of Stratford, was killed in New Haven County in Ansonia on Tuesday, April 5, on Hubbell Avenue near Sixth Street. The shooting took place “during an attempted drug purchase” Ansonia police said at the time of the crime. Video Of Basketball Star's Death May Contradict Suspect's Story The man accused of fatally shooting a young, basketball star said he fired in self-defense after the victim allegedly became enraged by the man’s laughter. Video footage of the incident, though, appears to dispute this.  Court documents that were recently released reveal the shooter’s side of the story as well as witness statements and the contents of surveillance video.
