Convicted CT Felon Nabbed For Attempted Home Invasion, Police Say A convicted felon has been nabbed for an attempted armed home invasion while the family was inside the home. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 31 in Waterbury. Officers responded on a report a man was attempting to force entry into a residential home with a firearm while a family was inside, said Lt. Robert Davis, of the Waterbury Police. Investigation Underway After Building Hit By Gunfire In Region Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate multiple gunshots that were fired into a home in Western Massachusetts. In Hampden County, officers from the Holyoke Police Department responded to the alley behind 244 Walnut St. shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, where there were reports of gunshots being fired. The investigation into the incident led to the recovery of multiple shell casings and one live round that were located by officers upon arrival at the scene. Drive-By Shooting Causes Extensive Damage, Police Say A drive-by shooting in Western Massachusetts, the second in several days, caused extensive damage to the victim's home and vehicle. The incident took place in Hampden County around midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 18,  in Holyoke.  Officers responded to Homestead Avenue for reported shots fired, Holyoke PD Captain Matthew Moriarty said.
