West Haven Man Found Shot Dead On Street In New Haven Police are investigating after a 41-year-old Connecticut man was found shot to death on a city street. Charles Miller, of West Haven, was found around 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8 on Pond Lily Avenue in New Haven. Miller was found after New Haven Police responded to a Shotspotter alert to the area between Valley Street and Pond Lilly Avenue, said Officer Scott Shumway, of New Haven Police. American Medical Response transported Miller to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries. The Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and collected ballistic evidence. CT Youth Severely Burned Trying Latest TikTok Craze, Fire Officials Say Fire officials in Connecticut are warning parents and teens of the latest TikTok challenge after a youth was burned while attempting the social media craze. The New Haven County officials said the incident took place on Tuesday, Dec. 28 in East Haven when a town youth was severely burned. According to East Haven Fire Chief Matt Marcarelli and Fire Marshal Charles Miller, the youth was trying what's called “The Whoosh Bottle Experiment."
