The incident took place in Norwalk on Friday, March 24 around 7:15 a.m. Norwalk officers responded to a report of damage to Optimum cable lines on Broad Street. Optimum personnel on the scene reported over 2000 fiber optic lines had been cut and as a result, over 40,000 customers had lost service, said Norwalk Deputy Police Chief Terrence Blake. Police Seek Information After Stolen ATM Found Emptied Of Cash In CT Police are investigating after a stolen ATM was found emptied of cash in Fairfield County. Connecticut Department of Transportation crew members located an ATM in Bridgeport on the morning of Monday, Sept. 26, on Route 8, and called police, Connecticut State Police reported. Troopers determined that the ATM had been stolen out of New Haven, police said.  "Of course, the machine was empty of cash, but that makes cents, right?" State Police said in the announcement. Authorities asked anyone who witnessed the disposal of the ATM to call State Police at 203-696-2500.
