Stefanowski Upsets Boughton In Republican Primary Race For CT Governor Related story: Ned Lamont Wins CT Democratic Primary Race For Governor Former General Electric executive Bob Stefanowski upset GOP-endorsed candidate Mark Boughton, the mayor of Danbury, according to unofficial returns in the Connecticut primary race for governor. With 90 percent of the votes counted, Stefanowski was leading Boughton by 29 to 21 percent.
