ESPN'S Hannah Storm Speaking At Greenwich High Graduation

GREENWICH, Conn. – ESPN SportsCenter host Hannah Storm will be the commencement speaker at the Greenwich High School graduation ceremony Tuesday, June 21.

The Emmy-nominated, female sports journalist is host of ESPN’s "SportsCenter" and "Face to Face with Hannah Storm."

“The class of 2016 is thrilled to have Ms. Hannah Storm as our graduation keynote speaker. We were encouraged by Ms. Storm's diverse background and her pioneering role as a woman in sports journalism,” said Greenwich High School Senior Class President Joseph Peters.

Storm is an award-winning producer, director, journalist and author. A pioneer in the field of broadcasting for women, Storm founded Brainstormin’ Productions and The Hannah Storm Foundation in 2008. Storm hosts the 10-11 a.m. ET hour of "SportsCenter." During the NFL season, she hosts the Sunday morning "SportsCenter," leading into SundayNFL Countdown. In addition, Storm has co-hosted many of the network’s marquee events, including Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, the NBA Finals, the New York Marathon, the ESPY Awards, the Super Bowl, the NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship and the Rose Parade on ABC. Storm is also host and executive producer of ESPN’s primetime interview series, “Face to Face with Hannah Storm,” where she sits down with various newsmakers in sports.

Storm is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the mother of three daughters with her husband, Dan Hicks of NBC Sports.

“High school graduation is such an important moment for graduates and their families,” Storm said. “I am very honored to be a part of this special day in the Greenwich High School community.

The graduation will be at 6:30 p.m. at the high school’s Cardinal Stadium. In case of inclement weather, the commencement ceremonies will be indoors in the school's student center in two groups – students with last names beginning with A-K will begin at 4 p.m. and students with last names beginning with L-Z will begin at 7:15 p.m.
