Two men wanted for a Vermont murder were nabbed in Connecticut by police who located the vehicle they were fleeing in on I-91.
The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, when Enfield Police officers were alerted by an outside agency that Brandon Sanders, 18, and Johnny Ford, 32, were wanted in connection to a homicide in Burlington, Vermont, said the Enfield Police Department.
Sanders was located in a vehicle traveling northbound on I-91 near Exit 49 and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Ford was later located at Motel 6 in a room and was taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant was executed at the motel and 107 grams of crack cocaine was located along with over $17,000 in cash, police said.
Both Sanders and Ford are being held in lieu of $1 million bond on being a fugitive from justice charges.
