Greenwich Teen Faces DUI Charge After Car Hits Pole, Flips Over

GREENWICH, Conn. -- An 18-year-old Greenwich man, already facing charges in connection with the sale of pot-laced brownies, has now been arrested on charges of driving under the influence after flipping his car, according to The Greenwich Time.

The Greenwich Police Department has charged an 18-year-old local man with driving while intoxicated after, they said, he smashed into a utility pole and Cos Cob and flipped his car.

Jack Portu crashed into a utility pole on Stanwich Road in Cos Cob last Thursday, The Greenwich Time reported.

Portu, who had been charged with drug offenses in December, was not injured in the crash, The Greenwich Time said.
