Greenwich Firefighters Escort Woman From Burning Home

GREENWICH, Conn. -- After Greenwich firefighters escorted a woman from her burning home Tuesday evening, they had to keep her from going back in, according to Greenwich Time

The Tudor-style home at 178 Clapboard Ridge Road was badly damaged and left uninhabitable, Greenwich Time said.

The woman was not injured even though she was still inside the home when firefighters arrived, Greenwich Time said. The house was undergoing renovations, which made battling the blaze more difficult, firefighters told Greenwich Time.
