Millie Marijan, 102, Lifelong Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. – Millie Marijan, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died Sept. 18 surrounded by family and friends. She was 102. 

Born June 13, 1910, in Greenwich, she was the daughter of Leonardo and Angelina LaBruzza. Before her retirement, Marijan worked at Greenwich Hospital for more than 25 years. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her wonderful cookies, her family said. 

Marijan is survived by a daughter, Annette Marijan, of Greenwich; a son, Thomas (Karen) Marijan, of Lebanon, N.H.; two sisters, Josephine Tomasello and Marie Nenni, both of Greenwich; a sister-in-law, Josephine Labbruzzo, of Port Chester, N.Y; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Roko Marijan and two brothers, Michael Labbruzzo and Dominick LaBruzza. 

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Roch’s Church in Greenwich. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
