GREENWICH, Conn. - Karen A. Mayer died Thursday April 4. She was 73.
Mayer was born in Byram on March 17, 1940, daughter of Charles F. and Helen Usowski Mayer. She attended New Lebanon elementary school, Greenwich High School and Plymouth State Teacher College in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
Mayer was a teacher in the Norwalk school system for many years
Mayer is survived by her brother, Jeffrey B. Mayer of Hauppauge, New York; and many cousins and nephews She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Christine H. Promack.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch St. Internment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.
