Youth Held on Gun Sale Charge

A Stamford youth was charged Wednesday with attempting to sell a pistol. Due to his age, police would not release his name. The Narcotics Unit got a tip the youth was selling firearms in Greenwich. After police stopped his car, the youth admitted he was planning to sell the gun, but had hidden it in bushes. Police found the .32 caliber pistol where the youth said it would be. He is being held on $75,000 bond and will appear in court on July 21. A passenger in the same car, Daniela Migdalia Peguero, 21, of 95 Liberty St. in Stamford was also arrested on conspiracy charges. Police said her cell phone was used in negotiations to sell the pistol. She is expected in court on July 29.

Another juvenile was arrested on Tuesday for larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia. After LF Store reported shoplifting, police found two LF Store shirts with price tags still attached and drug paraphernalia on the young female. She was issued a juvenile summons and is due to appear in court July 27.

Robert B. Harmon III, 19, of 84 Orchard St. in Cos Cob was arrested on July 15 on charges of possession of alcohol by a minor. He is set to appear in court on Wednesday.

Zachary Kozar, 19, of 14 Oakledge Circle in Norwalk was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failing to appear in court. He is expected to appear in court again on July 26.

Israel E. Morales-Mendez, 27, of 929 Lester Ave. in Mamaroneck was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence. Morales-Mendez was stopped after making an erratic three-point turn and crossing the double yellow line out of a Mobil Gas Station. He failed sobriety tests and was found to have been driving without a license. He is expected in court on Aug. 2.
