Police Taser Uncooperative Greenwich Man

A Greenwich man was tasered by police after being charged with interfering with officers during a DUI arrest. Kastriot Djema, 29, of 28 Columbus Ave., was stopped at a traffic light on Post Road after police found him sleeping with his foot on the brake. He failed field sobriety tests. Djema refused to comply with his arrest and pulled away from officers repeatedly. An officer used a Taser on Djema, who was then taken to Greenwich Hospital for evaluation. He was released later on $1,000 bond and is due in court June 3.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Timothy Calzone, 22, of 80 Payer Spring Road, Stratford, was arrested Saturday on larceny charges after stealing from former co-workers at Greenwich Catholic School, police said. He was released on a $250 bond and is due in court May 31.
