GREENWICH, Conn. A Stamford man was arrested in Greenwich Wednesday and charged with making a false 911 call that he had killed his girlfriend.
Henry Jara-Villamarin, 19, of 45 Halpin Ave., told the 911 dispatcher that he was in the parking lot at Crumbs Bakery and that he had killed his girlfriend, according to police. The caller then said he had not killed his girlfriend, but that he wanted to and to send the police. During the call, police said, a female voice could be heard in the background.
Jara-Villamarin told police when they arrived that he and his girlfriend were arguing and that he wanted her to get out of the car and when she refused he grabbed her phone and dialed 911, according to police reports. He told police that he had said he killed his girlfriend to ensure police would arrive faster.
The man was arrested on charges of falsely reporting an incident and falsely reporting an incident concerning serious injury or death. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is due in court on Jan. 25.
