GREENWICH, Conn. A New York City man was arrested in Greenwich Friday and charged with stealing his father's identity to commit fraud involving his former wifes medical insurer, police said.
In December of 2010, the Greenwich Police Department Detective Division investigated an ongoing fraud scheme. Police said the investigation showed that Johnathan Plunkett, 46, of 912 Fifth Ave., committed at least 44 counts of identity theft, then committed 43 counts of fraud against his former wifes medical insurance company and other companies using his father's identify.
He turned himself in to Greenwich Police on a warrant charging him with larceny, 44 counts of identity theft, 43 counts of forgery and criminal attempt at forgery. His former wife was not charged. Plunkett was released on a $10,000 bond and is due in court on Oct. 31.

Jorge Flores, 39, of 80 Colonial Road, Stamford, was arrested Sunday charged with stealing a bicycle at the Innis Arden Club, where he is employed, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 31.
