Mass. Man Dies After Crash on I-95 in Greenwich

A man was found in cardiac arrest near the Arch Street exit of Interstate 95 in Greenwich on Sunday night after a car crash.

Kevin Cronin, 61, of Norton, Mass., was alone in his Toyota when he drove off the highway just south of Exit 3 on Sunday night, Greenwich Time reported. Cronin hit a snow bank and crossed over the metal guardrail. When medics arrived, he was in cardiac arrest. Cronin was taken to Greenwich Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to published reports, Cronin had a previous medical condition, but it was not known whether the heart attack occurred before or after the car accident.

The incident closed the right lane of I-95, causing an hourlong traffic jam back to Exit 4 at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday.
