A Bridgeport man was convicted Tuesday of fatally shooting a Bronx man in 2008, then dumping his body in the backcountry of Greenwich. Larry Corbett, aka China Man, was found guilty in U.S. District Court of the murder of George McPherson. He was convicted of murder, kidnapping, robbery and drug charges on Tuesday.
As a result of todays verdict, a violent man will be removed from society, U.S. Attorney David B. Fein said in a prepared statement. He thanked members of the Greenwich Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the New York Police Department and the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., for their efforts.
