Greenwich Teen Charged With Locking Out Parents

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 14-year-old Greenwich boy was charged with disorderly conduct Sunday after, police said, he locked his parents out of their Armstrong Court apartment.

The teen’s parents told police he had left the apartment Saturday and had not come back. On Sunday, the teen’s mother saw him in the apartment complex and chased him, trying to get him to come home. He then came back to the apartment, police said, and locked the family out while his 8-year-old brother was still inside. He also stuck a kitchen knife into the keyhole so no one would look through it. The parents were able to get onto their balcony through a neighbor’s apartment and open the door, police said. The teen was released on a juvenile summons to appear in court Tuesday.
