Greenwich Man Charged With Risk of Injury to Minor

GREENWICH, Conn. – An 18-year-old Greenwich man was charged with risk of injury to a minor when he was arrested in a parking lot with marijuana and two juveniles, police said.

Douglas Strathdee, 18, of 74 Summit Road, was acting in a “suspicious manner” in the public parking lot at 18 Sherman Ave., police said. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana less than a half ounce and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Strathdee was released on a $2,500 bond and is due in court Feb. 13.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Jhonathan Cataneo, 21, of 146 Smith St., Apt. 1, in Port Chester, N.Y., was arrested on a warrant charging him with making a false statement and interfering with a police officer in connection with an armed robbery. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in court Feb. 14.

• Jose Marrero, 31, of 14 Sound Beach Ave., Greenwich, was charged with traveling too fast for conditions, driving under the influence and weapons in motor vehicle when he was stopped on West Putnam Avenue. Police found a BB pistol in plain view underneath the front passenger’s seat. He failed field a sobriety test and was arrested. Marrero was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in court Feb. 13.
