Greenwich High Student Charged in Theft of Cash

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 16-year-old Greenwich High School student was charged with larceny after a teacher reported that cash was stolen from personal belongings she left in her office when she stepped out, police said.

Several students were interviewed, resulting in the identification of a juvenile student who allegedly took the cash, police said. An arrest warrant was prepared and forwarded to the Juvenile Matters court, which found probable cause to arrest the teen. He was put into the custody of the Juvenile Bridgeport Detention Center and was due in court Monday.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Stephanie Zea, 20, of 79 Elmont Ave., Port Chester, N.Y., was arrested Friday by a warrant on a larceny charge and was released on $100 bond. She is due in court Feb. 10.

• A 16-year-old resident was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Jan. 31. He is due in court Feb. 21.

• David Seymour Lawrence, 22, of 157 Ursula Place, Stamford, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and illegal possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court Feb. 13.
