Greenwich residents are in for a sweet surprise. Iconic Manhattan bake shop Crumbs is having a 1,000 cupcake giveaway Saturday, Dec. 18, in honor of its recent Greenwich opening. The big giveaway will start at 8 a.m. and last until all the cupcakes are gone.
"We are very excited to open a store in Greenwich," said Mia Bauer, who launched Crumbs with her husband, Jason, in 2003. We are thrilled to bring our delectable treats to this lovely town."
The new Crumbs just opened Dec. 11 on West Putnam Avenue and has already become a sweet-tooth haven. It sells more than 50 varieties of cupcakes, including the Babe Booey, Artie Lange and the Blackout. The Bauers first shop was on Manhattans upper West Side. The Greenwich shop is their fourth in Connecticut.
