FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Women could soon have a prescription drug to enhance their sexual desire, according to a report in The New York Times.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which had been accused of sexual bias for approving drugs to enhance male libido while ignoring women, on Tuesday approved the drug Addyi, developed by Sprout Pharmaceuticals, The Times reported.
A group called Even the Score had lobbied the FDA to approve such a drug for women, according to The Times.
