Emil P. Parelli, Former Greenwich Town Custodian

GREENWICH, Conn. - Emil P. Parelli, a former custodian for the town of Greenwich, died on Monday. He was 84.

Parelli was born in Port Chester, N.Y., on Jan. 31 1928 to the late Frank and Jenny Parelli. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World World II and the Korean War. He was a supervisor at Arnold Bakery before working in Greenwich.

Parelli is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angelina Bria Parelli; sons Frank and his wife, Robin, Steve and his wife, Sandra, Emil Jr. and his wife, Wanda; brothers Frank and his wife, Barbara, and William and his, wife Morna; sisters Ruth Novak, Marie Parelli and lina Parelli; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Teddy Telesco and Julia Scarfone.

Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., located at 134 Hamilton Ave., in Greenwich on Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Church in Greenwich. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
