Driver Arrested on Marijuana Charges

A Greenwich man was arrested Saturday after police found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. Christopher Joseph Ceci, 20, of 121 Lower Cross Road, told police he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car when they smelled the drug from within the car. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court Nov. 15.

• Salvador Gonzalez Fonseca, 33, of 174 Long Lots Road, Westport, was arrested in Greenwich on Sunday on drunken-driving charges after police stopped him for failing to stop at a stop sign on Frontage Road. Fonseca failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, no license and failure to obey a stop sign. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Florida also faxed a detain order to the Greenwich Police Department for Fonseca. He was held on a $250 bond and was due to appear in court Monday.
