Services Set for Good Friday, Easter Sunday

Here are some of the Good Friday and Easter services scheduled at various churches in Greenwich.

Good Friday

First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave. in Old Greenwich

• 10 a.m.-Noon: Youth Choir/Alumni and Sunrise Service

• 10 a.m.: Family Service for Preschool and School Age Children

• Noon: Youth carry cross to Greenwich Point in preparation for sunrise Easter Service

• 8 p.m.: Meditative Musical Service featuring a performance of Requiem by John Rutter, sung by the Chancel Choir, with soloists Hanna Golodinskii and Janice Riddell, and an instrumental chamber ensemble.

St. Mary’s Parish, 178 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich

• 8 a.m.: Office of Tenebrae

• Noon: Stations of the Cross

• 3 p.m.: Celebration of the Lord's Passion - Veneration of the Cross and Communion Service

• 7:30 p.m.: Celebratión De La Pasion Gloriosa Del Señor

First United Methodist Church, 59 E. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich

•7:30 p.m.: Good Friday service

Easter Day

First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave. in Old Greenwich

• 5:45 a.m.: Sunrise Service at Greenwich Point

• 9 and 11 a.m.: Festive Services in the Meetinghouse with choirs, brass and timpani; child care available.

First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, 1 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich

• 9 and 11 a.m.: Worship service

St. Mary’s Parish, 178 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich

• Holy Saturday, April 23

• 3-5 p.m.: Sacrament of Reconciliation

• 7:30 p.m.: The Great Vigil of Easter-Blessing of the New Fire-Initiation of New Catholics-First Mass of Easter

• 7, 9 and 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 and 5:15 p.m.: Sunday Mass

First United Methodist Church, 59 E. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich

• 9 a.m.: Annual Easter breakfast

• 10:30 a.m.: Easter Sunday service

• 11:45 a.m.: Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn
