The Company's first East Coast tour of the season "offers a wonderful mix of works for piano and strings by Beethoven, Fauré, and Mendelssohn, combined with Thomas Adès' striking string quartet, Arcadiana, composed in 1993," according to a press release.

"Marlboro Music [is] a legendary classical-music institution that brings together younger and older players in pursuit of ideal chamber-music performances," said Alex Ross in The New Yorker, according to the release.

Artists in the performance include Scott St. John and Michelle Ross on violin, Emily Deans on viola, Matthew Zalkind on cello and Gabriele Carcano on piano.

The Friends Cole Concert Series is made possible through the support of the Sylvia and Leonard Marx Foundation and the Friends of Greenwich Library. Doors open at the Cole Auditorium at 3:30 p.m. For more information, call the Friends Office at 203-622-7938.
