Historical Society To Display Greenwich Photos

GREENWICH, Conn. – Unique photographs from local artists will be on view at the Greenwich Historical Society beginning March 7 as part of its 2012 Community Artists Series.

“Focus on Photography” will feature images by photographers Libby Collins, Barbara O’Shea, Pouli Otton and Cristina Saijo-Pye, until May 2.

The Community Artists Series, now in its third season, was started to support and encourage local artists by offering a venue to exhibit their work. The intent of the show is to see how artists depict personal views of the world through the lens of a camera.

All works on display will be available for purchase. The show may be seen at the Greenwich Historical Society Storehouse Museum Shop, from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Admission is free. There will be an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. March 7.

For more information or to read artists' statements, visit the society online. To attend the opening reception, call 203-869-6899, Ext. 20. The Storehouse Gallery is at 39 Strickland Road in Cos Cob.
