Wrestling Away A Great White Shark At The Maritime Aquarium At Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is saying goodbye to a great white shark that has been on display for years.  What looked like a scene from “Jaws” was just staff of The Maritime Aquarium moving a Fiberglas model of a great white shark.  The model is a cast of a 16-foot great white that was caught in the eastern end of Long Island Sound in the early 1970s.  It has been hanging in The Maritime Aquarium for many years, but was removed Monday to make way for construction of a new second-floor in the Aquarium’s Maritime Hall wing.

Maritime Aquarium Welcomes First Baby Loggerhead To New Sea Turtle Nursery NORWALK, Conn. – Visitors can follow a rescued baby loggerhead sea turtle through its first year of life at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.  The aquarium is raising it in a new “Sea Turtle Nursery” exhibit that opened this weekend.  The turtle will be released into the Atlantic Ocean next fall.
