Four lifelong friends and now business partners, Andrey Cortes, Chris Hickey, Shawn Longyear, and Chris Rasile have turned the Spread into an award-winning destination at its original SoNo location. With their combined decades of experience, they are bringing that same winning combination – “refined world food” menu, artisanal cocktails and inviting atmosphere – to Greenwich.
Innovative Chef Carlos Baez remains in charge in the kitchen. His extensive, varied background serves him well in creating dishes for the restaurant’s ever-evolving menu influenced by all culinary corners of the world.
The commitment to stay true to who they are and the things they believe in is what make the Spread special and authentic. Philanthropy is a core value shared by the owners and chef. Being involved in the community and giving back to local causes – from helping animals to children to the hungry to the environment – according to the group, is why they are a Fairfield County favorite.
“We are proud of our five years in the restaurant business and look forward to continuing to create delicious food in a lively, energetic atmosphere in both locations,” said Hickey. “It is all about a quality dining experience and an endless appreciation for our loyal regulars and new customers.”
Slightly larger than the original location and with a private dining room, the Spread in Greenwich is located at 18 W. Putnam Ave. The original location is at 70 N. Main St. in Norwalk. For more information, visit the Spread or call 203-939-1111.
