"Conversations for Baby Boomers: Your Story Matters, Tell It!" will be led by Maria Scaros-Mercado, the executive director at The Greens. She's licensed as a creative arts therapist, a board-certified trainer in drama therapy and a certified clinical interfaith chaplain.

Her passion as a drama therapist and chaplain is utilizing story and role play. She finds that allowing people to explore their role repertoire and to tell their story out loud is validating and life-affirming. It is a gift not only to the teller, but to the receiver.

"The question is not why tell your story but rather, why not," Scaros-Mercado said. "Our stories are full of moments that have defined who we have become and challenged our moral compass. Perhaps we need a life review."

This interactive program will explore story in general, participants' stories specifically and how people can share their stories with with those who need to hear them most.

On Wednesday, March 16, the next session is "How to Refresh your Communication Skills on the Internet." The Internet is changing lives in buying, selling, networking, managing finance and communications overall; this seminar will share the most effective ways to do what you want to do on the internet.

The speaker will be Cindy Wager-Meyer, community development specialist, at the Microsoft Store at The Westchester in White Plains. She'll provide practical tips to use -- or not use -- applications like FaceBook and LinkedIn, as well as advice about avoiding digital fraud. Bring your technology devices if you have them, or some will be provided.

The seminar series will be held at Greenwich Woods who is partnering with The Greens at Greenwich by providing the space. Registration is required. You can attend all the seminars or specific dates.
